Cue the drum roll please as Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has released the QS World University Rankings 2021, pitting the world’s finest institutions against each other for the top spots!
American tech trailblazer, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) tops the list yet again for an outstanding 9th consecutive year, followed by none other than Stanford University and Harvard University charting an impressive track record of placing 2nd and 3rd on the list.
Meanwhile, Malaysia’s oldest university, University Malaya (UM) continues to make great strides by holding the 59th spot in the Top 100 universities in the world! This is an 11-spot jump from their 70th placement in last year’s rankings.
Nonetheless, Malaysia delivered a stellar performance with 12 institutions climbing up the ranks from last year. Taylor’s University recorded the most impressive growth by leaping 135 spots forward to break into the world’s top 400 universities.
