The SETARA 2017 university ratings are out, and for the first time since the ratings were held, a total of 8 universities have achieved the ‘6 Star: Outstanding’ status.
SETARA, which is a rating instrument that assesses Malaysia’s Higher Learning Institutions (HLI) in teaching, research and services, was developed to promote institutional excellence as well as to recognise the diversity among Malaysian universities.
Among the 71 institutions that were audited and rated, 8 universities were awarded the highest accolade of ‘6 Star: Outstanding’, of which 5 are public universities and 3 are private universities.

University rankings serve as a great guide when shopping for a university as they are verified for their teaching, learning and research qualities.
