University rankings have always been a great source of inspiration for prospective students to hunt down their desired institutions.
While you may have pored through the global rankings from QS World University Rankings and are waiting excitedly for the latest ratings from our local MyQUEST Rating, Times Higher Education has recently released university rankings for Asia, pitching our local varsities against other top universities in the region.
The latest Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2017 has expanded to cover up to 300 top Asian universities to celebrate the immense potential and growth of education in Asia.
What makes it an even greater cause for celebration is seeing a higher number of Malaysian universities securing seats – 9 in total – in the top 300 universities in Asia, up from only 4 last year. Our country has also been singled out by Times Higher Education as one with the highest potential.
The improvement in rankings serves as a good sign that the various transformative programmes and initiatives by the new Malaysian Education Blueprint 2015 – 2025 for higher education are making headway.
