About Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT)

The Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT), formerly known as TAR University College (TAR UC), was founded in 1969. A premier tertiary education institution with over 50 years of excellence and rated 'Berdaya Saing (Competitive)' in the latest SETARA rating, the institution was recently upgraded to a full-fledged university in April 2022 with the vision of being a leading university capable of transforming the future. 

TAR UMT Penang Branch Campus offers an impressive range of cutting-edge facilities which includes a three-storey purpose-built library, auditorium, twin lecture theatres, Electronic and Building Laboratories, Cisco Laboratory, and Club House with an Olympic-sized swimming pool.

TAR UMT Penang Branch Campus is located in Tanjung Bungah, Pulau Pinang. The campus is strategically located – nestled between the lush greenery and scenic beach – and is only a 15-minute drive from Georgetown.
