Updated 16 Jun 2022
The day of reckoning is drawing to a close. Your heart must be pumping with excitement (or fear). Either way, take a deep breath and collect your thoughts.
Here are a few ways to check your SPM results.
#1. Check your SPM results online
With the help of the good ol’ internet, you can easily check your SPM results online through the Kementerian Pendidikan Lembaga Peperiksaan website here.
You'll be able to check your results from 10am, 16 June 2022 until 6pm, 24 June 2022.
Don't forget to print your results for reference!
#2. Head to school to collect your results (and for moral support!)
You can also go back to your school on SPM results dayand get them yourself. Nothing can beat meeting up with your band of brothers and sisters, sharing tears of joy or disappointment (hopefully not!) and getting invaluable advice from your teachers and counsellors.
Your SPM results will be released at 10am, so make sure you’re there slightly earlier. Your school administrators will probably set up a few tables in the general area to cater to the crowd of post-SPM students and their family members. Alternatively, you can check with your school administrator’s office too.

Start nowGoing to school is also great since you’ll get the chance to get your relevant documents certified so that you won’t suffer from panic attacks by doing it at the last minute. Some of the documents that you may need to certify are:
- Records or certificates of participation in co-curricular activities
- Certificates of achievement / excellence
- SPM Qualification result / certificate
- MyKad
- Birth Certificate
Do make copies, since you may need them for college applications, and when applying for scholarships and financial aid.
PRO TIP
To make sure you are allowed into your school grounds, make an effort to dress appropriately, such as wearing a polo t-shirt, long pants and covered shoes.
But what if you are a private candidate?
Don’t fret. Your results will be posted to you, though it may take some time for them to arrive via snail mail. Otherwise, you can also obtain your results from your state education departments (Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri) through the phone.
Whichever method you choose, make sure you obtain your official SPM certificate, which will be issued at a later date. Do remember to make copies of it and get them verified. They will come in handy for your scholarship / financial aid applications later.
Wishing you all the best!
