The TVET Diplomas such as Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM)/Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM):
- The DKM/DLKM/DVM must be fully accredited by MQA
- Required a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or CGPA 2.00 with at least 2 years working experience in relevant field subject to Senate/Academic Board's approval
- Students will be required to pass the admission screening process conducted by the faculty and undergo the Bridging programme, if necessary, during the period of their study in addition to the existing curriculum structure
- Credit transfer can be considered on a case-to-case basis and subject to existing credit transfer policies which are in effect

Notes: * Can be waived should any other higher qualifications contain Mathematics and Biology/Physics/Chemistry/General Science/Applied Science subjects with an equivalent/higher achievement.

Applicants without a credit in SPM Mathematics/equivalent can be admitted but are required to attend Mathematics Enhancement Course. Students must pass the Mathematics Enhancement Course as a prerequisite to related core courses before joining the degree programme.

Applicants without a pass in SPM English/equivalent can be admitted but are required to take one of the English Proficiency Test stated in the UTAR English Language Requirements. Students must meet the English Language requirements before joining the degree programme.
