Entry Requirements
- STPM: Grade C (GP 2.0) in any 2 subjects and pass in SPM Mathematics and English subjects/equivalent qualification*
- STAM: Grade Jayyid and pass in SPM Mathematics and English subjects/equivalent qualification*
- A Level: Minimum 2 Passes of minimum Grade D in the relevant subjects (and pass in SPM Mathematics and English subjects/equivalent qualification)*
- UEC: Grade B in 5 relevant subjects (and pass in SPM Mathematics and English subjects/equivalent qualification)*
- SAM: Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and Grade B in 2 relevant subjects (and pass in SPM Mathematics and English subjects/equivalent qualification)*
- CPU: Average of 70% in 2 relevant subjects (and 4 other subjects and pass in SPM Mathematics and English subjects/equivalent qualification)*
- UTAR Foundation:
- Foundation in Science with at least CGPA 2.0
- Foundation in Arts with at least CGPA 2.0
- Matriculation/Foundation from other Institutions of Higher Learning/equivalent
- Diploma, Kolej Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman in the relevant field
- Diploma from other Institutions of Higher Learning
- Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government
- Note: All the above qualifications MUST have a pass in Mathematics and English at SPM/equivalent*
- *Can be waived should any other higher qualifications contain Mathematics and English subjects with an equivalent/higher achievement.
- Malaysian students using English as the medium of instruction in their previous study or with at least Band 2 in MUET/equivalent can be exempted from a pass in English requirement.
- English subject requirement does not apply to international students since they are required to meet certain scores of international English examination and privileged with certain exemptions.
- Those without a pass in SPM Mathematics/equivalent can be admitted but are required to attend Mathematics Enhancement Course. Students must pass the Mathematics Enhancement Course as a prerequisite to related core courses taught in English before joining the degree programme.
- Those without a pass in SPM English/equivalent can be admitted but are required to take one of the English Proficiency Test listed in the General Requirements. Students must meet the English Language requirements stated in the General Requirements before joining the degree programme.
