About Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP)
Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) is a private university in Malaysia that was first established in 1997. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of PETRONAS, the national oil and gas company of Malaysia.
Located in Perak, the university offers a wide range of industry-relevant Engineering, Science and Technology programmes at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Students of UTP will also get a chance to conduct extensive research activities in collaboration with PETRONAS and other institutions and industries, locally and abroad.
UTP Ranking & Reputation
UTP is one of the leading private universities in Malaysia. It is ranked #269 in the QS World University Rankings 2025.
