Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) has clinched the 101st spot in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Asia Rankings 2018 after moving up a whopping 26 places from last year.
This makes UTP the highest-ranked private university in Malaysia.
The university, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PETRONAS, Malaysia’s national oil and gas company, offers a wide range of engineering and technology-related programmes tailored to provide an education that suits the industry’s needs.
The QS Asia Rankings 2018 isn’t the only piece of good news for the university. UTP has also made its mark on a global scale by becoming the only private university in the country to make it into the QS World University Rankings 2018.
The institution is also the first and only private university in Malaysia to be rated a maximum 5-star overall rating in the QS StarsTM University Rating System.
Heartiest congratulations, UTP!
