Ever read a piece of news online, only to find out later that it was not true? Well, that’s fake news — false information that’s disseminated to the public. It is without a doubt that fabricated news can have adverse effects on people.
The good news is, Fulbright specialist Dr Stephen J. Farnsworth will be delivering a talk to help people determine the key signs of fake news. Held at Methodist College Kuala Lumpur on 6 July 2019, the talk is open to the public so that anyone interested in this topic can learn more about it.
As a Professor of Political Science & International Affairs and Director of the Center for Leadership & Media Studies at the University of Mary Washington, Dr Farnsworth has the knowledge and experience needed to answer all your questions about fake news and how you can deal with it.
