Heriot-Watt University Malaysia has partnered with Velesto Energy Berhad, an oil and gas company in Malaysia, to offer students with excellent academic results up to 100% scholarship through the Heriot-Watt-Velesto Petroleum Engineering Scholarship.
What makes this scholarship so special?
You will have the opportunity to secure a 50% or 100% scholarship in a Degree in Engineering at Heriot-Watt University Malaysia. In addition, scholars will gain personal, professional and leadership development skills as part of the scholarship programme, ensuring that you will be industry-ready when you graduate.

What you need to know
Scholarships will be awarded to students who fulfil the following criteria:
- Minimum of 2As 1B at A-Level (or its equivalent) with a passion for Engineering
- Must have strong academic achievements
- Must be actively involved in extracurricular activities and leadership roles
- Must attend an interview with the Selection Committee
How to apply
To apply:
- You must first register for an Engineering Degree at Heriot-Watt University Malaysia (leave your details below so that our education advisor can assist you!)
- Complete a scholarship application form
- Include details of your extracurricular activities
- Write a 500-word personal statement expressing which engineering field you’re interested in and why, as well as your future career aspirations
- Shortlisted candidates will need to attend an interview
Application deadlines are:
- 15 August 2018 (September 2018 intake)
- 1 December 2018 (January 2019 intake)
