It’s out with the old and in with the new, time to push those past-year books aside as your shiny bright future awaits you! If you haven’t got much to do at home, you should makethe mostof your holidays by using your free time to decide on which course or institution you would want to enrol in next year.
Not sure where to start? Don’t worry, this December 2018, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) has lots of planned activities and new courses in store for you. Here are some exciting things you can do when you visit UTAR!
#1. Apply for UTAR’s January 2019 intake
Yes! UTAR is currently open for new admissions. So, if you’re interested in studying at either of their campuses, click here to enrol now.In addition to that, UTAR will also be offering several new programmesstarting from January 2019 onwards. Some of these fresh-out-of-the-oven courses include:
This programme will teach you how to prescribe medical nutrition therapyand consists of subjects such as biochemistry, anatomy, human nutrition, fundamentals of food preparation and many more.
This programme aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to manage various psychological issues such as developmental challenges and behavioural difficulties.
This unique multidisciplinary programme combines the study of environmental health and occupational safety and health, to ensure the safety of working environments.
This programme aims to produce graduates in the construction sector who specialise in project management, construction technology, construction procurement and contracts and more.
#2. Receive advice from professional counsellors
Unsure of which course would be right for you? Worry not, UTAR’s advisors can give you a clearer picture of the programmes and short courses offered. They will also be extendingtheir counselling hours and will be available from 9am - 5pmevery day(except public holidays) so that you can catch them even during the weekends (Hurray!).
#3. Attend a guided campus tour
If you think that seeing is believing, then come on out and take a tour around UTAR’s campuses, led by the ambassadors of UTAR. You’ll be given a preview of their study environment, laboratories, various sports facilities, multimedia rooms and more!

#4. Can’t make it to the campus? Visit UTAR’s roadshows!
If you won’t be around for the Open Days, don’t worry. In December 2018 and January next year, UTAR will be taking part in various education fairs and roadshowsthat’ll be available in many statesacross Malaysia— so you can still meet their friendly staff and advisorsto get all your questions answered.
