KDU Penang University College together with Ghee Hiang Manufacturing Co. Sdn Bhd is offering scholarships for students who enrol in their Diploma in Professional Chef Training programme for their August 2017 intake.
This diploma opens doors to a Degree in International Hotel and Tourism Management or International Culinary Arts as well as a multitude of career opportunities at prestigious hotels, food service establishments and cruise lines.
KDU Penang University College received a 6-star college rating by the Ministry of Higher Education MyQUEST 2014/2015.
What you need to know
Scholarships will be awarded to students who fulfil the following requirements:
- Verified parents’ combined annual income of less than RM60,000
- Obtained a minimum of 5 credits in SPM
- Must be enrolled in full-time study for the Diploma in Professional Chef Training programme and must complete the duration of the programme
- Joining the August 2017 intake
The scholarship award is structured as follows:

This amounts to a 44% scholarship for your 2.5-year Diploma in Professional Chef Training course.
